Following a record-breaking start to 2024, the Blood Transfusion Education and Discussion Group returns later this month, and we'll be joined by multi-award-winning biomedical scientist and speaker, Malcolm Robinson.

Malcolm will be giving us insight into how we, as blood transfusion professionals, can benefit from the amazing rewards of participating in the incredible work of Harvey's Gang.

Harvey’s Gang Laboratory Tours are for young patients and their families, giving them the chance to meet the biomedical science staff who work in hospital laboratories and analyse their samples to help manage and diagnose their illnesses.

The tours help children understand their treatment, leading many of them to overcome their fears. Laboratory staff also benefit from Harvey's tours as they get the chance to meet the young patients and put a face to the name of the sample they are analysing.
