Healthcare professionals and other NBTC stakeholders may wish to note an update from Jehovah’s Witnesses regarding individual decisions on the acceptance and donation of major blood components.

NBTC and NHSBT have collaborated to create an FAQ document for Transfusion Laboratory colleagues about the blood requirements for solid organ transplant donors who will undergo Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) prior to transplantation. 

NICE - National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has today updated its blood transfusion guideline, simplifying when TXA should be offered during surgery - removing the need
