T2024 winners at the SHOT symposium!

An abstract submitted to SHOT outlining the development of the Transfusion Training Hub was awarded first place! 2nd place was also awarded to the T2024 team for the ongoing development of RCI assist. Click here to read more.

Subject matter expert, Jill Caulfield, worked alongside members of the Education Working Group to develop the Transfusion Training Hub and presented her findings at the SHOT symposium. Helen Thom, subject matter expert for RCI assist also gave a presentation.

The symposium was a great event and provided the T24 team with a platform to showcase some of the worthwhile projects they are working on. (See photos and presentations attached).

East of England RTC Hosted Successful Education Event

The East of England RTC hosted a very successful virtual education event - Mums, Babies and Blood.  Subjects covered throughout the morning included blood groups, massive haemorrhage, fetal DNA, Anti-D, haemolytic disease, anaemia, patient sampling errors and case studies.
