The patient working group is a brand new initiative within the NE&Y RTC.  Our aim is to increase meaningful patient engagement and ensure patient feedback is directly integrated into RTC activities.  Basically, we need you and your valuable input to improve the activities we co-ordinate as a regional transfusion committee!

We want to support and empower you, our patient representatives, to have more meaningful engagement in feedback, helping us develop valuable resources such as pathways for managing and reporting transfusion reactions, that can be used to benefit our whole community.

We are also planning a patient education event, which all are invited to. Currently this is in the diary for May/June 2026 ….  so keep your eyes peeled on this page for more info!

Look out for our posters when you attend for your transfusion in the coming weeks and if you would like to join the group or would like any further information, please email the RTC administrator, whose details are on the poster. Our patient working group is aiming to meet three times per year and we are looking forward to having you on board!
