Clinical complications in pre-transfusion testing: How patient pathology can change antibody behaviour
This session explores how antigen exposure, patient pathology and timing interact to shape red-cell alloimmunisation and IgM/IgG antibody behaviour. Through practical clinical scenarios, it connects core immunology with pre-transfusion interpretation, historical antibody review, component selection and patient safety.
