Thank you to everyone who attended the webinars and contributed content and suggestions via the Padlets. Your input has been invaluable.

Based on your feedback, we have drafted a series of proposed soundbites for all Transfusion Practitioners across England to review and comment on. These will be emailed via the RTC Administrators.

Each soundbite will include:

Draft content for review
A link to a Microsoft Form for providing feedback

Your comments will help ensure that the Professional Development Framework is shaped by TPs across England and truly reflects the complexity and importance of the role.

Review Schedule

Purpose Statement: 15–26 September
Core Professional Values: 29 September – 10 October
The Purpose of a Professional Development Framework: 13–24 October
The Professional Development Framework: 27 October – 7 November

We encourage all TPs to review the drafts and share feedback during the relevant timeframes.

The 2025 Undergraduate Medical Degree Transfusion Medicine Survey was developed in collaboration with the T2024 Education Working Group, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) Patient Blood Management Consultants, and the UK and Ireland Blood Transfusion Network (UK&I BTN).
