Christine is a state registered Biomedical Scientist and joined NHSBT in 2009 after working in hospital laboratories for 27 years. Since joining NHSBT, Christine has worked in Red Cell Immunohaematology, the Serious Hazards of Transfusion team, Hospital Customer Services and most recently the Blood Stocks Management Scheme and is now the Transfusion 2024 Development Lead for the Hospital Data Integration Project.
Christine is passionate about utilising data driven evidence to support improvements in transfusion practice and brings a wealth of experience to the Transfusion 2024 programme. Christine is working to facilitate automated, electronic collection and integration of hospital and NHSBT transfusion data.
Christine is an avid sports fan and pet lover. Outside of work, Christine enjoys watching rugby union and women’s football, walking her dog, and looking after her 3 cats.
