SHOT Symposium Best poster prize: Slow and Steady Wins the rACE in the South East!

🎉 Sally Richardson, Lead Transfusion Practitioner at East Sussex NHS Trust, and Anwen Davies, Patient Blood Management Practitioner, NHS Blood and Transplant were thrilled to represent the South East Transfusion Practitioner Group (SETPG) at the SHOT Symposium with their winning poster 'Slow and Steady Wins the rACE' outlining the unwavering hard work of the SETPG over the last 8 years, dedicated to improving compliance to QS138 Quality Standard, and ultimately, improving patient care. The SETPG are worthy winners and Sally and Anwen were delighted to accept the prize on their behalf. They thoroughly enjoyed the day, including the 'Just a minute' slot! 🎉
Stay tuned as the SETPG will now start collating good practice case studies to share further learning, important as benchmarking transfusion metrics is a fully accepted recommendation of the Infected Blood Inquiry.
