During the development of the Transfusion Practitioner (TP) Framework, it became clear that we needed a stronger way to communicate both the impact of the TP role and what it involves. This clarity is important not only for patients and donors, but also for colleagues across the system, and for those who may be considering a career as a TP but are unsure what the role entails.

To support this, the NHSBT Digital Communications Team worked closely with TPs and our patient partner to create a short animation that brings the role to life. Feedback provided on the Framework soundbites was incorporated directly into the final Framework, and the refined, agreed‑upon language from the Framework was then used to shape the wording and messaging in the animation. This ensures that the video represents the TP role and reflects the voices of those within the profession.
