The National Transfusion Practitioner Network (NTPN) consists of representatives from each of the Regional Transfusion Practitioner Networks in England and has representation from the British Blood Transfusion Society (BBTS), the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) and NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) Patient Blood Management (PBM) team. The primary purpose of the group is to work within National Blood Transfusion Committee (NBTC) objectives to promote safe, effective and appropriate transfusion practice by facilitating best practice resulting from the Transfusion Practitioner role.
