The South East RTC hosted a very successful Education Event - Major Haemorrhage and Bleeding.
The Transfusion Transformation Symposium was held on 10th June 2024 to discuss the next 5-year strategy for clinical and laboratory transfusion practice.
The new education resource, Blood Essentials, the replacement for A Drop of Knowledge and A wealth of knowledge is now available on the hospitals and science website.
A Review of the Year 2023 in the South East region
Transfusion 2024 introduces the new Transfusion Training Hub, specifically designed to support education and training for all healthcare professionals working within Blood Transfusion and for anyone wishing to increase their transfusion knowledge.

The East of England RTC Action Plan has been updated for 2024. The plan details the projects and activity planned for the year.
The East of England RTC hosted a very successful virtual education event - Mums, Babies and Blood. Subjects covered throughout the morning included blood groups, massive haemorrhage, fetal DNA, Anti-D, haemolytic disease, anaemia, patient sampling errors and case studies.
